SOLD - Isola A5 mandolin built in 2011 in excellent condition. This is my A style shop demo. Big open sound and projection. Treble and bass notes are strong and clear. Aged late '80's tone woods, tight grain Englemann spruce top, flamed maple back, sides and neck. Tap tuned parallel tone bars, voiced air chamber. Mother pearl peghead inlay , nickel Schaller tuners and hardware. 1 5/32" nut. Slightly radiused fingerboard, like new 18% nickel .080" frets. James Nickel tailpiece. Comfortable U shaped neck profile. Ebony fitted bridge. Carbon fiber truss rod. Thin nitro lacquer finish, has a little lacquer checking. 2 very small dings on the top, 1 small ding on the back. New case.
