F5 mandolin built in 2011 . This F5 was my shop display model and has been gently played by musicians seeking an affordable, quality instrument. Big open sound and projection. Treble and bass notes are strong and clear. This F5 sounds great playing Bluegrass, old time, Celtic and jazz. Medium grain Sitka top aged in my shop for 30 years, flamed maple sides, back and neck. Ebony peghead overlay with traditional abalone fern inlay. Grained Ivoroid binding. Flat ebony fingerboard,1 5/32” nut, abalone dots. Grover 18:1 nickel tuners. New frets. Thin nitro lacquer finish.
Some lacquer checking. A small scuff mark on top scroll peak (see photos). Otherwise in “like new” condition. $2800 with new hard case.
